About Department

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) focuses on developing intelligent machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. The CSE-AI department was established in 2022, with a total intake of 60 students. The degree program in CSE with AI equips students with the knowledge and skills to design, develop, and implement intelligent systems that can solve complex problems and drive technological advancements.

Prof. Lalit Chourasia currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence). He holds a B.E. in Information Technology from Barkatullah University Institute of Technology (BUIT), Bhopal, and an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from RGPV, Bhopal. With over a year of industry experience and more than 12 years in technical academia, Prof. Chourasia is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment. His unwavering commitment to education and student success is reflected in his passion for teaching and mentorship. Prof. Chourasia’s areas of specialization include Cloud Computing, Image Processing, and programming in C, C++, Linux, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and ADA. Throughout his academic career, he has supervised more than 25 major undergraduate projects and guided the completion of five postgraduate theses. Additionally, he has published 10 research papers in reputed national and international journals.
