About Department :

The Department of Electrical Engineering offers full time undergraduate (B.E.) course in Electrical, Electronics and Power & two postgraduate (M.E.) course in Electrical Power System & Electrical Machines and Drives. The Department also offers part time undergraduate (B.E.) course in Electrical, Electronics and Power & postgraduate (M.E.) course in Electrical Power System for the employees working in nearby industrial, government sectors. The Alumni of the Department are giving their excel performance in the field of Electrical Engineering in industrial, government organizations. The Department has well equipped laboratories with sufficient infrastructural facilities. The Department also offers consultancy and testing services for industries. The faculty is actively participating in various research and development projects, infrastructural development activities utilizing grants received from AICTE, UGC, TEQIP etc.

To develop leading expertise in Electrical & Electronics Engineering field making significant contribution to human resource development envisaging dynamic needs of the society and industries.

Mission:

To produce higher levels of human resources in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering for Nation’s accelerated socio-economical and technological growth in emerging areas of human endeavour.

At present, the department offers both undergraduate and Diploma courses in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The Department has well equipped laboratories in the area of Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Measurements, Power Electronics & Drives, Microprocessor and Embedded System. Department has software computing facilities with latest software and high speed Internet connection to support modeling and simulation work. The Department is actively engaged in research, consultancy and testing in the area of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
